Another Friday another flat week; if I weren’t so skeptical about this market I’d be making a killing!

I sold 4 contracts on OIHIV (September $110 strike) today when OIH popped up.   I sold it for about $4.35 and made a little over $1700 for the month for about a 3.95% return.   Not bad but if OIH remains above $110, I’ll be assigned and back in cash.   If not, then I’ll keep chugging along with OIH.

I wrote a comment a while ago that I was expecting a market decline in September but that was predicated on the Federal Reserve ending its purchases of US Treasuries in September, the Fed has now “extended” their purchasing through October so I’m re-evaluating my position on the market decline.  In the meantime, there is only one more week till August expiry and I’ve gone ahead and published August and September results from the ETF-Cashinator to show everyone the volatility I’m seeing.    I hope no one loses their shirts over the upcoming weeks and months!

Here are the ETF-Cashinator results for this week.  With two weeks till August expiry, I took a look at future months and there is still a great deal of volatility so I won’t be trading until after September if at all.
